Base Rate: This depends on the length and complexity of the animatic or animation (e.g., simple colorless stills are cheaper than detailed animations).
Per Second/Frame: For animation, you may price based on seconds of animation or frames per second. For example, a simple animation might cost $20-$40 per second, and $10-$25 per frame depending on the complexity.
Add-Ons: These are applied for things like extra characters, detailed backgrounds, or sound. Pricing for add-ons is based on the complexity and volume.
Sound & Voice Acting: Adding voice or sound increases the price due to the extra work needed (including syncing and editing).
Character Count: More characters = more work, so additional characters will cost more.
Background Complexity: Backgrounds are priced based on their level of detail. A simple background will cost much less than a detailed, rendered background.Sample Price Breakdown for a 30-Second Animation:

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the following terms:1. Payment and Process
Upfront Payment: Full payment is required before I begin working on your commission. Payment will be accepted via [PayPal/other payment methods].Payment Plan: For larger commissions, a payment plan can be discussed. Work will not begin until the full amount is received.
Refunds: I reserve the right to cancel and refund any commission for any reason, at any time, if necessary. If I cancel the commission, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel or request a refund after work has already started, a partial refund will be provided based on the amount of work completed. No refunds will be issued after the work is completed and delivered.No Chargebacks: Once payment is made, you agree not to initiate chargebacks via payment platforms. Chargebacks will result in blacklisting from future commissions.2. Work Scope
Completion Time: I will provide an estimated completion date upon starting the commission. If a delay occurs, you will be notified as soon as possible. Depending on my workload, the completion time may range from 7 days to several weeks.Commission Progress: You will receive progress updates at key stages (sketch, lineart, and final). You are encouraged to give feedback at each stage.3. Copyright & Usage
Artist’s Rights: I retain full copyright of all artwork I create. This includes the right to display the artwork on my social media, portfolio, and other promotional platforms. You will have personal, non-commercial use of the artwork (e.g., profile pictures, prints, etc.).Client’s Rights: You are granted the right to use the commissioned artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not claim the artwork as your own or use it for any commercial purposes without prior written consent from me.Reposting: You may repost commissioned artwork on social media, but proper credit must be given to me (@smolfae). Do not alter or remove my signature on the artwork.4. NSFW Work
NSFW Commissions: I am open to NSFW commissions, but please ensure that your requests comply with platform guidelines. I have the right to decline any NSFW commission that I find uncomfortable or that violates any terms of service or guidelines.
Explicit Content: Explicit content, kinks, or fetishes will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will incur higher rates for more complex requests.I retain the right to decline any commission requests I am uncomfortable with or depict harmful behavior.A valid ID for proof of age will be required for theses commissions and are only offered to those 18 years and older.5. Communication & Expectations
Clear Communication: Provide all relevant details upfront, including references, specifics on what you want, and any preferences you have for the artwork. The more information you give, the better I can fulfill your vision.Respectful Conduct: I expect all clients to be respectful and professional in their communication. Rude or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and commissions will be canceled in such cases.6. Final Delivery
Delivery Format: Completed commissions will be delivered in high-resolution digital formats such as PNG or JPG, depending on the project.
File Sizes & Edits: I am not responsible for issues with printing or file errors once the final piece has been delivered. Any major changes after delivery may incur additional fees.

I’ve been drawing since I was 14—over a decade now—and have had the privilege of studying under a range of incredible artists, including the talented Gabriel Picalo and several notable Disney animators.
